Hot Creamy Noodles Recipe (Rich, Quick & Easy Comfort Food)

When I say this is one of my favorite lazy lunches, I mean it with my whole spicy-loving heart. These Hot Creamy Noodles are everything spicy, creamy, cheesy, and super comforting. All it takes is one pack of noodles and a few simple extras to turn it into a cozy bowl of goodness. Perfect for busy days or when you just need a hug in noodle form.

Method

Boil the noodles

First, bring a small pot of water to a boil. Add the Buldak Hot & Spicy Chicken Noodles and cook them just like it says on the packet usually about 4 to 5 minutes. When the noodles are soft and bouncy, carefully scoop out about 1 tablespoon of the noodle water using a spoon or ladle. This little bit of water is magic it helps the sauce mix better later. After that, drain the rest of the water and set the noodles aside.

Make the creamy base

In a mixing bowl, add 1 tablespoon of light cream cheese, the spicy buldak sauce that comes in the packet, and the white part of the spring onion that you sliced earlier. These three ingredients are going to give your noodles a spicy, creamy, and slightly oniony flavor that’s so good. If your cream cheese is cold, it may be a little firm, so let it soften for a few minutes on the counter first so it blends more easily.

Mix the noodles

Now, take the hot drained noodles and toss them into the bowl with the sauce and cream cheese mixture. Add the 1 tablespoon of reserved noodle water too this helps everything mix together super smoothly. Stir and twist the noodles using a fork, spoon, or chopsticks until the sauce is evenly spread and everything turns creamy and orange and amazing.

Top it all off

Finally, grab some grated mozzarella cheese and sprinkle it right on top of the hot noodles. The heat from the noodles will melt the cheese and make everything gooey and stretchy. Add the green part of the spring onion for a fresh little crunch and some color, then open the sesame seed packet from the noodle pack and sprinkle it over everything for that toasty, nutty finish.

And that’s it you’ve made a warm, spicy, creamy noodle bowl that’s ready to be devoured!

Ingredients

  • 1 pack of Buldak Hot & Spicy Chicken Noodles

  • 1 tablespoon light cream cheese

  • 1 spring onion (separate whites and greens), finely sliced

  • Grated mozzarella cheese (as much as your heart desires)

  • Sesame seed packet from the noodles (don’t toss it!)

Directions

  • Boil the Buldak noodles according to the packet instructions. Keep about 1 tablespoon of the noodle water before draining.
  • In a mixing bowl, add cream cheese, the spicy buldak sauce that comes in the pack, and the sliced white part of the spring onion.
  • Toss in the drained noodles and the saved tablespoon of hot water.
  • Mix everything together until creamy and dreamy.
  • Top it off with grated mozzarella, the green part of the spring onion, and the sesame seeds from the noodle packet.

Notes

  • Don’t skip saving that tablespoon of noodle water it helps everything mix together smoothly.
  • If your cream cheese is too cold, it might clump. Let it sit out for a few minutes before mixing.
  • Add the mozzarella at the end so it melts gently over the top instead of disappearing into the mix.

Serving Suggestions

I usually enjoy this bowl solo, but it’s fun to jazz it up with a soft-boiled egg or a handful of sweet corn on the side. Feeling fancy? A sprinkle of furikake or a drizzle of chili oil makes it extra gourmet!

Fun Fact

Buldak means “fire chicken” in Korean, and it’s famous for being super spicy! But adding cream cheese makes it creamy and mellow, so it doesn’t totally blow your taste buds away.

Conclusion

Hot Creamy Noodles are my go-to for when I want something fast, fiery, and fun. It’s such a simple twist on instant noodles but feels way more special. I hope you try it and fair warning, it might become your new comfort food too. Let me know how spicy you dare to go!
