Salmon Caesar Soft Tacos (Easy, Fresh & Protein-Packed!)

These Salmon Caesar Soft Tacos are one of my favorite quick meals for spring and summer. The salmon is broiled in just 9 minutes, and the salad comes together in 10. It’s fast, it’s light, and it’s packed with flavor. Plus, the high-protein Caesar dressing made with Greek yogurt is so good, I seriously want to drink it with a spoon. You get creamy, cheesy salad, perfectly cooked salmon, and warm soft tortillas all in one bite. It’s basically a Caesar salad turned into a taco and I promise you’ll want seconds!

Method

1. Broil the Salmon

Start by turning your broiler on to high. While it heats up, line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper. If you’re using parchment paper, make sure it’s cut to fit just under the salmon any extra hanging off the edges could burn under the broiler. Place your salmon fillet on the prepared sheet and season it evenly with garlic powder, onion powder, kosher salt, and black pepper. Then, drizzle the top with avocado oil and gently rub it in with your fingers or the back of a spoon to keep the salmon moist and help it crisp slightly on top. Once the oven is ready, place the salmon under the broiler and cook it for 9 to 11 minutes, depending on how well done you like it. I like mine slightly rare in the center, so 9 minutes is perfect for me. When it’s done, remove it from the oven and let it rest for a minute. Then, use two forks to gently shred the salmon into bite-sized pieces.

2. Make the Caesar Dressing

While your salmon is cooling, it’s time to make that dreamy high-protein Caesar dressing. In a small blender or food processor, combine the Greek yogurt, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, grated parmesan cheese, kosher salt, and black pepper. Blend until everything is totally smooth and creamy. Taste the dressing if you like a little more tang or salt, now’s the time to adjust. The texture should be thick and rich, perfect for coating crunchy lettuce and holding up inside a soft taco.

3. Toss the Caesar Salad

Now grab a large mixing bowl and add in your chopped romaine lettuce. Sprinkle the freshly grated Parmesan cheese over the top and then toss in your crushed garlic croutons. Pour in your Caesar dressing and gently toss everything together using tongs or salad servers. Make sure the lettuce is well coated, but still crisp it should look glossy and smell amazing.

4. Assemble the Tacos

If you haven’t already, warm up your flour tortillas until soft and pliable. I usually do this in a dry skillet for a few seconds on each side, but the microwave works in a pinch too. Lay the warm tortillas flat and start building your tacos by adding a few spoonfuls of shredded salmon to the center. Then top with a generous portion of your Caesar salad mixture. Fold them up like tacos and serve immediately. You’ll get a warm, cheesy, creamy, crunchy bite every time!

Ingredients

  • For the Salmon:

  • 1 lb salmon

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt

  • 1 tsp ground black pepper

  • 1 tbsp avocado oil

  • 8 small flour tortillas, warmed

  • For the Caesar Salad:

  • 2 heads romaine lettuce, chopped

  • 3/4 cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated

  • 1/3 cup garlic croutons, crushed

  • For the High-Protein Caesar Dressing:

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt

  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • 3/4 cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated

  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt

  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper

Directions

  • Assemble the Tacos
Warm up your tortillas if you haven’t already. Then lay them out and spoon in some of the shredded salmon. Add a generous scoop of Caesar salad on top. Fold the tortillas like tacos and that’s it! Creamy, crunchy, and so satisfying.
  • Toss the Salad
In a large bowl, add the chopped romaine lettuce, grated parmesan, and crushed garlic croutons. Pour in the Caesar dressing and toss until everything is evenly coated. This salad is so good on its own too!
  • Make the Caesar Dressing
While the salmon cools a bit, make your high-protein dressing. Add the Greek yogurt, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper into a small blender or food processor. Blend until everything is super smooth and creamy. Taste it if you want more tang or salt, feel free to adjust the seasonings.
  • Broil the Salmon
First, preheat your broiler to high. Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper. If you’re using parchment paper, make sure it doesn’t hang over the sides too much paper can burn under the broiler. Place the salmon on the lined baking sheet. Season it with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, then rub the top with avocado oil to help it stay moist. Broil the salmon for 9–11 minutes, depending on how well you like it cooked. I prefer mine a little rare, so 9 minutes works for me. Once done, remove it from the oven and use two forks to gently shred it into pieces.

Notes

  • Don’t let parchment paper hang off the edges; it can burn under the broiler.
  • Make sure your broiler is fully preheated before adding the salmon for even cooking.
  • Shred the salmon gently so it stays tender and juicy.
  • If your dressing is too thick, add a splash of water or lemon juice to thin it out.
  • Toss the salad just before serving so it stays crisp.

Serving Suggestions

  • Serve with lemon wedges for an extra citrusy touch.
  • Add avocado slices for extra creaminess.
  • Pair with sparkling water or iced tea for a refreshing combo.
  • These also work great as lettuce wraps if you want to skip the tortillas!

Fun Fact

Did you know Caesar dressing was actually invented in Mexico? It was created by an Italian-American chef named Caesar Cardini in the 1920s in Tijuana not in Italy!

Conclusion

These Salmon Caesar Soft Tacos are everything I want in a weeknight dinner quick, fresh, full of flavor, and packed with protein. The broiled salmon comes out perfectly every time, and that creamy Caesar dressing brings the whole taco together. Whether you’re cooking for the family or just want a fun, healthy meal for yourself, this recipe is a keeper. Try it once and I bet it becomes one of your go-to meals too!
